The Alcatel One Touch 995 is the first “adventure” of Alcatel in the field of mid-range smartphones. It is positioned on the same price range and performance of products such as Huawei Honour and Samsung Galaxy S, under a screen of 4.3 inch TFT LCD with a resolution of 800 × 480. Its processor is Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 S2 operating at 1.4GHz , along with 512MB of RAM, 1GB of internal memory, and microSD slot. In terms of connectivity, it has 14.4Mbps 3G, WiFi 802.11b / g / n, Bluetooth 3.0, aGPS, DLNA, and microHDMI. The device is also equipped with an FM Radio, a camera of 5 megapixels that can record video in HD and a battery 1500mAh.
The Alcatel One Touch 995 runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. The company assured that the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich can be made via OTA shortly.
The terminal is made entirely of plastic material which, to a first contact,seems particularly good and solid. The smartphone is great, given the size of the screen. The screen is of good quality and gives sharp images and colors fairly well balanced.
