LG X3 Taking on HTC Edge for First Quad-Core Mobile
A picture and specs of a new Android phone from LG has made it online. Codenamed LG X3, the new mobile phone is said to be equipped with a new quad-core processor. Other than trying to be the first to launch a quad-core smartphone, LG is said to pack the Nvidia Tegra 3 tech (promising 1280 x 720 resolutions) inside of a 4.7-inch machinery design.
The new LG X3 s only 9mm thin, has 16GB of internal memory (expandable with a microSD card if you need more space for pictures, videos), and should be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
The X3 also features a 2000 mAh battery and has NFC technology, comes with an 8 megapixel camera in the back and a front one with 1.3 megapixels.
So far there’s not much to confirm these rumors, but we are likely to know more next month when the Mobile World Congress kicks in, in Barcelona. That’s where HTC is also supposed to introduce the so-called “Edge”, also a quad-core phone. So who will be first?
